Burst into Summer Challenge

 Burst Into Summer Challenge

So I signed up for the Burst into Summer Challenge over at the Sisterhood of the Shrinking Jeans. Even though summer in our house is well underway. I am hoping to get some, no a lot of motivation, from my teammates. I feel pretty good about my body and the weight that I am at, I have been at the same weight most of my adult life. After all 3 pregnancies my body returns to the same weight, I guess I can't complain too much, but I would love to get that "space" in between my legs back. LOL!

Having 2 girls ages 10 and 12, I teach them to rock the body they got! I never talk about needing to lose weight in front of them and I always eat what I want but in moderation. My oldest daughter realizes that she will never be "stick skinny" but she knows she is beautiful inside and out! Unfortunately we have a lot of Russian in our blood, which means big thighs. *****Big sigh****

So here I am sweating thru the summer in order to fit a little better in my pants come fall.  Wish me luck!

Junior League Winter Ball

So I am a little late posting pics of my daughters winter ball but better late than never. I was not very happy with the pictures I took. For some reason our house at night has horrible lighting so I had to edit these photos and I still don't know if I am happy with them.  My daughter and her friend started getting ready 2 hours before we had to leave. They were really excited for their dance, they did their makeup, hair and them primped some more.

I think I flashed forward about 4 years to her prom. It seemed like she was getting ready for her high school prom.

Trying to get back in action...

I have come to the conclusion that my life will NEVER slow down, my life will always be hectic, crazy and chaotic. What else should I expect having 3 kids, a husband and 3 dogs to care for. So with that being said, I have made a pact with myself to blog more and visit other blogs more. If you are a follower of my blog hang in there because I promise to stop by more and update you on The Little Things in Life....

On another note tonight is a big night for my 12 year old daughter. She is going to her first Junior Cotillion Winter Ball. She has been going to Junior Cotillion classes since September and she is learning manners, ball room dancing,  how to sit properly, proper greetings and of all things..the correct way to eat ice cream. Who knew there was a proper way to eat ice cream?

She has the new dress, new shoes, new makeup and she is wearing a necklace that belonged to her Great Grandma. After school her best friend and her will be getting all dolled up together for their big night. I can't wait to post pictures this weekend.

Tonight we go Booing!

The other day I was visiting Skip to My Lou, and she was asking "Do you Boo"? After reading what Booing was I thought it would be such a fun thing to do with my kiddos this time of year.

The main idea behind Booing is ringing a neighbor or a friends door and then run away, when they answer the door they will find a fun/yummy surprise waiting for them. You can Boo with candy, cookies, baked goods, candles etc..  So we headed down to our local Dollar General and stocked up on our Booing supplies (candy). I added my own twist to by filling treat bags and goody baskets with yummy candy and I added an extra treat bag in each bag/basket I deliver that way my recipients only have to purchase candy when they Boo themselves. You could use a basket and then your neighbor/friend can pass along the same basket to whomever they choose to Boo.

So tonight is the night my kids and I have all our bags and baskets ready to Boo our friends with. I bought 2 green baskets for my favorite kiddos down the street and treat bags for some other children and friends in the neighborhood. Have fun and I hope you try Booing this year!

Hopefully my good friend down the street won't tell her kiddos it was us that Booed them when she reads this!

Cloning Myself

I am wondering how I could possibly clone myself? If only there were 9 of me....1 for my daughter Kailey, 1 for my daughter Kate, 1 for my son Sam, 1 for my husband, 1 for work, 1 of me to care for the dogs, 1 of me for housework, 1 of me for the laundry, 1 of me to exercise daily. If anyone has figured out how I could make this happen please let me know, I feel that there are so many things that need to be accomplished and not enough hours in the day!

If only I didn't need to sleep at night....Oh the things I could get done!

Getting back into the Blogging world

After starting a new venture in my life I really needed to get back on track. I finally feel like I am getting the hang of things and getting organized once again. I thought I would post some pictures I took of my children yesterday.
